SPDOF – A New Platform for Scientific Dissemination in Health
After developing the first website for the Portuguese Society of Temporomandibular Dysfunction, Orofacial Pain and Sleep (SPDOF) in 2017, CIGA was once again chosen to bring the new version of the platform to life — more modern, functional and geared towards the association’s current needs.
SPDOF, founded in 2014, is a non-profit scientific organisation dedicated to research, training and knowledge dissemination in the areas of temporomandibular dysfunction, orofacial pain and sleep medicine. Its mission requires digital tools that are up to the task — and that was precisely the challenge we embraced.
We have developed a completely revamped website with a contemporary, responsive design that is optimised for mobile devices. The new platform ensures accessible and intuitive navigation for both healthcare professionals and the general public.
The website was designed with customised features, including:
- Sections dedicated to scientific publications and educational content;
- Promotion of events, courses, and conferences;
- A members-only area with profile management and professional content.
This project is more than just a cosmetic overhaul: it is a strategic tool that strengthens SPDOF’s digital presence, promoting scientific knowledge and supporting healthcare professionals working in this highly specific and relevant field.
